Hybrid Lash Extensions in Woodbridge, Vaughan

They suit you if you want a fuller look than your natural lashes, without the bold, dark look of volume. What are hybrid lash extensions?
Hybrid lash extensions combine classic singles and light volume fans in one set. A single is one extension attached to one natural lash, and a fan is a small group of fine extensions attached to one natural lash. The singles add length and definition, while the fans add softness and fill out the lash line.
Together they create a textured lash line that's fuller than your own lashes but less dense than volume. Hybrid fans commonly hold 2 to 3 extensions (2D to 3D, where "D" counts the extensions in a fan). Many lash techs call hybrid roughly half classic and half volume, but both vary by lash tech and with the look you want.
Are hybrid lashes right for you?
Hybrid lashes are a good fit if you want more fullness than your natural lashes give you, but not the bold, dark look of volume. They suit you if:
- You want lashes that still look like yours, only fuller and more defined.
- You like a soft, textured finish more than a dense, even line.
- You love the classic look. We don't offer classic sets, so hybrid is our closest option.
- You're new to lash extensions and want a look in the middle of the range.
- You have a few small gaps in your lash line that you'd like to soften.
You might prefer another option if:
- You want a denser, fluffier lash line. Volume puts a fan on every natural lash; see our volume lash extensions.
- You want a very dramatic, voluminous set. That's what our mega volume lash extensions are for.
- You've had a reaction or sensitivity to lash extensions before. Whichever set you choose, start with a patch test (see the FAQ below).
Hybrid lash extension prices
Hybrid lash extensions at our Woodbridge studio cost $120 for a full set and $65 for a refill. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), before HST.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Hybrid full set | $120 |
| Hybrid refill | $65 |
| Lash extension removal | $20 |
| Patch test | $20 |
A refill tops up your set. At least 40% of your extensions must remain for the visit to count as a refill; otherwise, it's charged as a full set.
We don't refill another lash technician's work. If you book a full set while wearing another technician's lashes, you must book a removal with it.

What to expect at your hybrid lash appointment
A hybrid appointment at our studio takes around 1 hour, and 1.5 hours at most, for a full set or a refill. Here's how it works.
- Patch test first, if you need one. If you've had a reaction or sensitivity to lash extensions before, book a $20 patch test ahead of your full set. It takes about 15 minutes, and the FAQ below explains how it works.
- Before your visit. When you book, we send our eyelash extension consent form, which every client completes before their appointment. We also message you before every appointment to confirm the date and time.
- Arrive at our private studio. We're appointment-only, at 118 Pioneer Ln in Woodbridge.
- Choose your style. Tell us the look you'd like, such as natural, wispy or cat eye, and how full you want your set to be.
- Relax with your eyes closed. You lie back on a lash bed, and a hydrogel eye pad covers your lower lashes. Your eyes stay closed for the whole application, as the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) advises.
- Your set is built one lash at a time. Each classic single or light fan is attached to one natural lash, creating the mix of definition and fullness.
- Fumes cleared, then eyes open. At the end, we use a small fan to clear the glue fumes before you open your eyes.
If your eyes itch, hurt, swell or look red after a set, or your vision changes, don't try to remove the extensions yourself. See an eye doctor promptly. For an allergic reaction, the AAO advises seeing an ophthalmologist immediately.

Styles you can choose with hybrid lashes
Your set type and your style are separate choices. Hybrid decides how full your lashes look, while the style decides their shape, using a lash map that plans which length goes where. Our lash map guide explains how mapping works.
Alessia Simonetta, our owner and master lash artist, does natural, open eye (doll eye), cat eye, fox eye, wispy, wet look and strip lash styles at our Woodbridge studio. In general terms, these styles commonly look like this:
- Natural: follows your own lash line and gets softly longer toward the outer third.
- Open eye (doll eye): puts the longest lashes in the centre of the eye, above the pupil, for a rounder, more open look. Read more about doll eye lash extensions.
- Cat eye: gets gradually longer toward the outer corner, where the longest lashes sit, for a lifted, elongated look. Read more about cat eye lash extensions.
- Fox eye: steps up from the centre and keeps the longest lengths across the outer part of the eye, commonly with a lifting curl, for a lifted outer corner. Read more about fox eye lashes.
- Wispy: adds longer spikes every few millimetres over a softer base, for a textured, fluttery look. Read more about wispy lash extensions.
- Wet look: commonly made with closed, spiky fans for a dark, defined finish, like lashes fresh out of the water. The name describes the look, not water. Read more about wet set lashes.
- Strip lash: a look modelled on a strip of false lashes.
Natural, doll eye, cat eye and fox eye are shapes set by the lash map, so they commonly work with any set type, including hybrid. Wispy sets can be done on any of our set types, and a wispy hybrid tends to look lighter and airier. At our studio, wet sets fall into the volume category.
If you're not sure which style suits a hybrid set, ask us when you book.
Hybrid lash aftercare and refills
Alessia recommends washing your lashes ideally every day with an oil-free cleanser. Our Lash Cleanser Kit, a 60 ml oil-free foam cleanser with a cleansing brush, removes dirt and makeup without breaking down the adhesive bond. For more on washing, water and sleeping, read our guide to lash extension aftercare.
Extensions fall off as your natural lashes shed, the AAO notes, so book a refill while at least 40% of your extensions remain. Our guide to how long lash extensions last explains how refill timing works.

Hybrid lashes FAQ
How much are hybrid lashes in Woodbridge?
At Luxury Lash Lounge in Woodbridge, Vaughan, a hybrid full set is $120 and a hybrid refill is $65. At least 40% of your extensions must remain for the visit to count as a refill; otherwise, it's charged as a full set. Lash extension removal and patch tests are $20 each.
How long do hybrid lashes last?
Your hybrid extensions fall off as your natural lashes shed, as the American Academy of Ophthalmology explains, so your set thins out over time. To keep it full, book a refill while at least 40% of your extensions remain. Our guide to how long lash extensions last explains the lash cycle and how often to book refills.
Should I choose hybrid, classic or volume?
Choose hybrid for a look in between: fuller than your own lashes, with a soft, textured finish. Classic puts one extension on each natural lash, so it can only look as full as your lashes, and we don't offer it; hybrid is our closest option.
Volume puts a fan on every natural lash for a denser, fluffier line. Compare them in our guide to types of lash extensions, or see our volume lash extensions.
Will hybrid lashes damage my natural lashes?
Lash extensions can be safe as long as you take precautions, says the American Academy of Ophthalmology, but the risks include temporary or permanent lash loss. The AAO warns that rubbing, tugging or pulling can fracture natural lashes and even permanently damage the follicle.
So never pick at your set, and book a professional removal when you want it off. Our guide to whether lash extensions ruin your lashes explains how to lower the risks.
Do I need a patch test?
We recommend one if you've had a reaction or sensitivity to lash extensions before. It costs $20 and takes about 15 minutes: we place 5 to 10 short, natural lash extensions on each eye with our glue, plus the hydrogel eye pad we use in all our lash treatments.
If you notice itching, stinging, burning or swelling within 24 hours, let us know, because it may mean you have a sensitivity or allergy. See our lash glue allergy guide.
How do I book hybrid lashes in Vaughan?
Text or call 647-533-7202, send a DM to @luxurylashlounge on Instagram, email luxurylashloungevaughan@gmail.com, or send a request with the form below. Our private, appointment-only studio is at 118 Pioneer Ln, Woodbridge, ON L4L 2J1, in the City of Vaughan. We need at least 24 hours' notice to cancel an appointment.
Can I wear mascara with hybrid lashes?
You can, because lash extensions are semi-permanent, but Alessia highly recommends against it. In her experience, mascara and eyeliner contain oils that break down the adhesive bond and will most likely make your extensions shed prematurely. If you love a defined, mascara-like finish, ask about the wet look, one of the styles Alessia does at our studio.
Can I book a hybrid set if I'm wearing another studio's lashes?
Yes. Outside removals are welcome, and a lash extension removal is $20. Professional removal is the safest way to take off eyelash extensions without damaging your natural lashes, so please don't pull them off yourself.
We don't refill another lash technician's work. If you book a full set while wearing another technician's lashes, you must book a removal with it.
